My biggest mistakes going from TLV tech β†’ NYC CRE:

Time and size.

‍

I misunderstood both.

‍

πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ’»=πŸ”

In TLV tech everything moves fast:

People meet you, like you, hire you. Sometimes within days.

‍

🏒=πŸ₯˜

IN NYC CRE things take time:

Relationships, deals and connections need to mature and evolve.

‍

πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ’»=🐰

In TLV Tech everyone’s small:

Newborn startups raise money and hit the ground running.

Entrepreneurship is the default.

‍

In NYC CRE everything’s big:

Huge companies with thousands of people and billion dollar portfolios.

‍

Small entrepreneurial companies are seen as risky.

There’s still so much I have to figure out.

But that’s why I chose this path.

To learn. Grow.

‍

What about you?

What did you figure out about a new industry/business?
